Still Lifes
Artist Statement
My finale photos were pictures of a group of old flower petals in my house. Along with this, I combined it with a flower I picked from outside my house. The Juxtaposition between the two objects represent youth and death. Further, throughout the process of shooting some of the petals within my alive flower began to fall apart. Therefore, within one of my last photos I used this to show all good things eventually come to an end. I felt this was interesting to incorporate because it is a pertinent piece of our culture. Also, it does provide a powerful contrast that I appreciated within the photos.
